CIAO
Thali rhymes with Cauli-flower ;) and is short for Thalita, which means “little girl” in Aramaic. I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and grew up surrounded by my huge Italian-Brazilian family.
THE DEVIL DOES NOT WEAR PRADA
I moved to New York City in 2009 to study and pursue a career in fashion. I worked first as an au pair and then as a personal assistant to an executive at a major fashion publication. These roles helped me discover my passion for setting up systems that work for people and implementing process improvements.
Nowadays I call San Francisco, CA home.
I’m a dog mama to a sweet lab mix named Astro who finds his way into many of my conversations. I love living close to the beach, watching sunsets, backpacking, cycling, playing music with friends, and playing chess. I invest energy in nurturing my 100+ plant roommates, rearranging furniture for optimal living experience (seriously, I love moving things around, much to my partner’s chagrin), and fixing things around the house.
LIFE IN SAN FRANCISCO

SO DO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE?
I’m classically trained in many different dance styles: classical ballet, jazz, modern and contemporary to
name a few and danced professionally for many years. During my years as a dancer, I also taught ballet, coordinated our company’s youth program, and worked closely with the costume department, collaborating on all costume needs for presentations, awards, and musicals. I look back at my dancing years with gratitude and have found the experience pivotal in shaping my life. From the importance of discipline and collaborating in a team to fostering community and embracing creativity, dance taught me all.
FROM ART TO SCIENCE TO UX
I’ve always been inclined toward the pursuit of creativity and understanding of human needs. Curiosity is at the core of everything I do. From an early age I developed a deep passion for Early Childhood Development, Psychology and Neuroscience. I’m fascinated by the human brain and once upon a time that fascination would almost lead me to pursuing a Phd in Neuroscience. Fast forward and little did I know that UX would provide the perfect opportunity to combine my natural creativity and my inquisitive brain.
